David Beveridge
Director
David is a Director in the Corporate Team, and heads the firm’s Corporate practice.
Having joined the firm in 2005, David led the management buyout of the practice in 2009, becoming one of Scotland’s youngest managing partners in the process. He served as Managing Director from 2009 until September 2026, overseeing a period of significant growth during which the firm established itself as one of Scotland’s leading specialist corporate law firms and one of the country’s most active deal advisors.
For more than two decades, David has advised entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, investors and corporate groups on mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, private equity transactions, investments, corporate restructurings and banking and finance matters. He has led many of the firm’s most significant transactions, helping clients achieve successful growth, investment and succession outcomes.
While recognised for his technical expertise, David is equally known for his commercial outlook and ability to identify opportunities for clients.
A proven “Rainmaker”, through an extensive network of entrepreneurs, investors, lenders and professional advisers, David frequently helps connect people and businesses, creating opportunities that often develop into investments, acquisitions and successful exits. Examples include “milestone” private equity investments in leading Scottish firms Hardie Polymers, JWF Process Solutions, Link Cable Assemblies and Clyde Fasteners.
