As a “survivor” (Sir Tom Hunter’s words!) and (one time company secretary) of many an Entrepreneurial Exchange annual conference, it was a privilege for our firm’s Head of Corporate David Beveridge to attend the “Founders Conference -Scaling up Scotland”, held on Friday (3rd November 2023) at Gleneagles. The event was hosted by The Hunter Foundation and The Scottish National Investment Bank (and supported by Entrepreneurial Scotland.
The vision was to inspire and support entrepreneurs new and old, to focus on how we scale up entrepreneurial businesses, build diverse organisations and continue to build meaningful connections across the ecosystem and drive economic growth.
The conference certainly delivered, with inspirational contributions by Sir Tom Hunter, Lord and Lady Haughey, The Hut Group Founder Matt Moulding, Chris Van Der Kyl, Dame Alison Rose, Darina Garland (Ooni), Dame Sarah Gilbert (Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine) and James Timpson OBE of Timpsons Group.
It was a pleasure to renew friendships, make new friends and take some time out of business, to think about what we do and how & why we do it.
