Emily Glen-Hencher
Solicitor Corporate

Emily qualified as a solicitor in our Corporate team in July 2023, after completing her traineeship with the firm.  Emily has dealt with a number of corporate and commercial matters including acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts and other internal restructures, EMI option schemes and general corporate governance matters.  In addition, Emily has particular expertise advising on due diligence aspects of corporate transactions which has included Scots law advice in relation to international transactions.

In her studies, Emily found a passion for corporate law, competition law and employment law. Combining her interest in new technologies and a keen eye for creative solutions, she tackled the regulation of Artificial Intelligence in her final Dissertation and she applies the same innovative approach to her work within the Corporate team at Macdonald Henderson.

Emily graduated top of her class from the University of Stirling in 2020 winning the Douglas W Vick prize as the best performing LLB student. She then went on to complete the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde where she competed as a national finalist in the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition.

Emily is a member of the Scottish Young Lawyers Association.

Outside of law, Emily is a keen, year-round wild swimmer and works closely with local and national charities.
