Laura is a director of Macdonald Henderson, and co-leads the corporate team.
Laura has experience in advising clients from small owner managed businesses to larger companies on a wide range of corporate matters.
Amongst colleagues and clients alike, Laura is known for her attention to detail, her breadth of knowledge and her unrivalled command of the law.
In-keeping with her consistent excellence in leading corporate transactions, Laura has taken the lead in what have been the biggest, most complex deals in the firm’s history, including:
- Advising Turnkey IPS, the leading provider of software solutions to the insolvency industry, on an investment by Bowmark Capital, the mid-market private equity firm, partnering with the founding family to support the next stage of the company’s development;
- Acting for the shareholders of an award winning provider of residential care in Scotland, in respect of (i) a complex restructure of the group and (ii) completion of an eight figure investment by a leading UK/European impact fund advisory firm;
- Advising Juniper Group, part of Vela Software and Constellation Software Inc, the TSX-listed publicly traded global software company on the acquisition of Traveltek, the travel technology solutions provider.
Her incredible work on deals such as these led to Laura being named as one of the 25 women in law to watch in 2025.
In addition, Laura has particular expertise in handling the employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions, and can assist in relation to TUPE and the employment law implications of business acquisitions and disposals.
